Zero stars if that were possible. This item consists of 4 soft plastic tubes filled with Thistle seed. The tubes have plastic stoppers top and bottom. These are not fastened in place. They slide in, and are held by squeeze fit. In all four cases, these stoppers slid out on their own, dumping the seed contents.

Entire seed content was lost before feeders could be hung. I am returning the now empty and unstoppered tubes. I can buy them cheaper at Walmart, but haven’t gone store-shopping since the pandemic began. I was able to order a bag of Thistle seed from Walmart and even though these feeders are disposable, you can still add more seed when they run low. I like them because they don’t require cleaning, so that saves me time and energy.

The perches are kind of short, but they are hollow, so I stick square wooden toothpicks into each perch. It seems like I get more variety of birds with longer perches, but the feeders work fine for the smaller birds just as they come from the company. One person found this helpful.
