I got this for two reasons. Cubase and Flight simulation. Maps really well with Cubase and is great with vst synths. Turning actual knobs is so much better than using the mouse. Similarly with Msfs. Mapping this to the various knobs and switches in the cockpit is pretty easy. Gives you a total of 16 rotaries and 48 push switches. Well built, works perfectly on PC win Easy to edit with Behringer software. One thing to note although controllers are endless the light ring is so relative MIDI pickup is odd.

I can’t get it to work with pro tools to pick up an existing MIDI value even in relative mode but less confusing for me if it always shows real midi value anyway. Good size and feel. Bought this piece of kit to use with the windows application “Midi-Mixer”, which allows me to utilize my midi controller in place of my windows volume mixer, I can change individual applications’ volumes up and down with ease.

Now I’ve done it, i can’t go back. One thing I love is that these are knobs, and not potentiometers, so they can be turned infinitely, so if i bind a new app to the knob then I don’t need to worry about what volume it was previously at. One flaw I find with this device is its cable Annoyingly a mini-USB , which seems to come undone quite often, but it’s a deal-breaker and nothing that an after market cable could fix.

Works great for controlling application volume! I use an application called “MIDI Mixer” to use this product as a volume controller applying each knob to their own respective application.

It’s a super easy plug and play device however it was very annoying have to set it up for the first time. What no one says is that you have to enable “MC Mode” to get this feature to work so please do make sure that it’s on when trying this. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s got some spare money laying around due to COVID and are looking into streaming, super handy being able to easily change certain application volume on the fly! Good, but I’m suspicious of durability.

Whilst I suspect it would be good for production, I am not sure of the durability of the rotary dials for performance purposes. Next to these the X-Touch Mini looks and feels more like a toy.

I am sure it has its place and I believe for static production work it is probably fine. But for live music work where your attention is not on fine detail work, I suspect it mihht be easy to break the rotary dials.

With that said, it is weighty. The buttons have a very positive, resistive feel. The “click” of the endless rotary encoders is deliberate, the knobs for which are also easy to grip and difficult to accidentally turn.

Overall construction and feel is on par with items twice its price IMO. Knobs feel solid with no wobble, nor do they feel like they’ll break or pop off with regular use. I am actually using this with SPAD. I also tinker around with music, too, so I will no doubt be using it for that as well.

Great buy in my opinion. This device makes adjusting a photo a breeze! Highly recommended! There were no drivers to download truly plug-and-play. I was generally pleased with the build quality but was underwhelmed by the fader slider.

While the rest of the rest of the unit felt robust, the fader felt as if it was barely there. I was impressed the most with the rotary knobs. Overall, I believe this is a viable alternative to the Loupedeck and will undoubtedly enhance your workflow while increasing your productivity. There is no way to turn the Mini off.

This might not be a deal breaker for most people but I sometime sleep in my studio space after working long into the night and having a bank of orange glowing LEDs was mildly annoying. One person found this helpful. Can only control one LED per collar programmatically. Pretty good device. Not much out there at this price point with these features. A few small tweaks to the firmware would make this better. A few minor issues for advanced programmatic use so far: – Poor Documentation on how to set encoder position not led lights : CC message to the channel assigned the the encoder, with the CC control set to encoder number The value is in the range Would be nice to disable this feature.

Using for flight simulator control using OEM configuration tool and freeware. Fantastic quality and functionality. I bought this when looking for an affordable midi-based option for editing batch photos in Lightroom. Found out that this is one of the top rated controllers to use in collab with Midi2LR.

Bought the controller, downloaded and configured the free software to make it work online, and now I am one happy camper! At this price point, why not???? Excellent, affordable, works great with Ableton 10 once you find the magic combination of settings I’ll come back and add those here when I’m back at my Ableton desktop. What I really wanted was a control surface that would at least be reasonably smart about auto-mapping device and instrument parameters to knobs.

I mean, I’m not expecting perfection, or at least my experience so far with control surfaces has taught me not to expect much. This does a pretty reasonable job. I still have to put stickers all over it, and somehow remember which knob goes to which, and wonder about the knobs that don’t seem to move anything.

But hey, still is a marked improvement over what I’ve tried so far, and it’s not just another track volume and pan controller. Now, if these manufacturers could find it in their hearts to put useful instructions in the box for at least a few of the top DAWs, or maybe on their web sites. Like I said, the audio production industry is teaching me not to expect much.

But I like this controller, the visual feedback is great, they are endless turning knobs and so they solve the problem of not being motorized.

I like it and Behringer, good work putting affordable stuff together, not sure why all the hate haters run in packs? See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. The seller DJ Pundit took his time to ship the item, but reached it within the time frame. Though the shipment packaging was good, the original packaging Pic 01 of the item wasn’t in a good condition. Seems like an old stock item.

However, the device Pic 02 looked all fine and once connected, it worked without any problems. Setting it up for Lightroom using MIDI2LR plugin was pretty straightforward and with an overlay template pasted on top, it looked like the device was actually manufactured for LR! Overall, happy with the purchase. Reviewed in India on April 26, Well made with buttons and pots having nice positive feel.

The pots led position lights were great, but Global Truss Half Coupler. Manfrotto Super Clamp. Stairville Stage Tape BK. Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen. Stairville Power Split 6 Way Black. Rate now. Review guidelines. Pleasantly Surprised! When ordering this I was worried the build quality might be really cheap but as soon as I took it out of the box them worries went away.

Although obviously not a high end product it does seem surprisingly sturdy and I was also surprised by it’s weight, which was more than I had expected. So far it has been reasonably easy to set up and start using although mapping out every knob and button will still take some figuring out. Other than the necessary tinkering I haven’t yet come across any sizeable cons.

On the pro side, it’s easy to use, quick to set up and obviously a nice compact size. One notable pro is the fact it does not require drivers to function so if you have no internet connection or simply can’t be bothered searching for drivers you don’t need to worry. That being said there are some customization features that will be missing without drivers.

In summary: Only getting started with this but so far so good. Great value for money. Report Do you believe this rating to be inaccurate or unacceptable for some reason? Versatile unit from Behringer, much better built then previous BCF controllers. Although it is only MC control and not HUI, you can use a midi translator software or hardware to make it work well with Pro Tools, although it needs a little programming skills.

I like the Behringer control software that makes it very easy to configure the settings. No Software. So I bought this for school to work with Pro tools and Logic. It doesnt support HUI Pro tools protocal , wich is my fault for not knowing, and the support for Logic is really limited. It’s only through Logic, there is no other mean of editing the data on mac.

It’s really hard to make it do what I want it through Logic and there is absolutely no support or information on the internet, Behringer site last updated about from what i can gather. Just alot of frustration coming from this thing. Iv’e spent like 8 hours looking for info and tinkering with little results. Its built ok, buttons are nice but faderheads feel cheap.

Encoders are nice except there are no grooves so sweaty mix sessions will lead to slipping. And it makes noise, both the faders and something internally, More than I expected. Overall 2 stars. Awesome stuff for the money. Rebinding buttons and knobs is easy, faders feel very good for the money. I’d say that the impressions are very similar to Avid’s Artist Control, that is overprices like hell. The faders might be a bit too loud if you are in a quiet part of a song or movie, but again – it is awesome for its price.
