The information store could not be opened. I have referred to this community topic Here where Deepa Raj has three methods of solving this issue. I have deleted my entire profile off the computer, so a whole new profile will be created. Still not working. I have tried all manner of mail profile and account settings changes; new profile, change from cached to not cached, connecting to my mailbox from a different account which fails. What I am about to try as a last resort – I’m going to try moving my mail account to a different user.

I really can’t think of what else to do. It would be helpful if there was a log entry somewhere that would indicate what the problem is, but since Outlook doesn’t even open, probably not all that helpful. I am all ears, anyone has some idea what else I can do. Do I start looking at the mail server, could my mailbox there be corrupt? How do I determine that? Just incase, I’m including a paste of the article mentioned above. Again, these have not worked for me after repeated attempts.

The computer makes a new profile for you. So your documents etc, would need to be copied from your old profile. A minor annoyance in comparison to Outlook not working. You’ll need to identify your GUID because that’s how your profile is listed in the registry, not by username. You can find instructions here:.
