For the last several days, since using my computer in a hotel, I have been getting these weird notifications while using Chrome and Windows I have run a complete scan on my computer twice with Norton and also a scan with Advanced System Care, and neither found anything, so I’m pretty sure I do not have any viruses and these notifications are a scam, but they still bother me and indicate that something might be on my computer that I don’t want.

They claim to be from Chrome and “loders. I doubt very much these are from Chrome, and I cannot find anything at all on Google named “loders. So they seem harmless, but are they? Nothing that I can see has been installed on my computer. Where are these notifications coming from? Does anyone know how to stop them? I have not received any emails related to this, and I have checked the junk mail folder too. Maybe, Windows Notification for Chrome. What puzzles me is that it claims to have found three viruses yet Norton and Advanced System Care both find zero viruses. I’m more inclined to trust Norton that Microsoft. Okay, I’m not familiar with Advanced System Care.

Maybe, run scans. I thought of installing Malwarebytes but I read some comments on the internet that having Malwarebytes and Norton installed at the same time would cause problems. Another comment I wanted to make was this “loders. Why would Microsoft use some kind of weird meaningless name for some service like “loders.

This is definitely a scam. I clicked on the notification, and a window opened from the “Windows Defender Security Center” saying I had 5 viruses which I don’t. That makes no sense.

Anyway, there’s a “Proceed” button which I certainly did not click on, but when I hovered over it, you can see that it will take you to “nespenet.

So definitely a scam. I just wish there was some way to block these notifications. What is it they know about me that is allowing them to send these notifications to me. I don’t understand how they can do it. My email address? I’m not getting emails from them. My ip address? It can’t be a coincidence that this all started after logging in in a hotel. I have forwarded this to the Norton Safe Web team to review the site. Sounds like there are malicious redirects in some ads on the site you are visiting.
